"Can compassion arise spontaneously after one has developed direct intuitive insight?"
I think it depends very much upon one's own spiritual orientation and the basic motivation. It is possible for certain practitioners who have developed familiarity with various principles of the path, altruism, and so forth. As the individual gains greater insight into the nature of reality, the greater power of his or her compassion and altruism will be, because he or she will then see that sentient beings revolve in the cycle of existence due to ignorance of the nature of reality. Such practitioners, when they gain very deep insight into the nature of reality, will also realize the possibility of a way out from the state of suffering. Once you have that realization, then your compassion toward sentient beings will be greater because then you will realize their fate - although they can get out, they are still caught in the cycle.
As I walk down the paved incline, I am surprised by how good I feel. My evening meditations have been so very productive, and I feel blessed and graced with a new calm and joy. My still sleep befuddled brain is shaking out the dust as I approach the doors to the truck stop. I pull open the door and enter, and at once I'm struck with a wave of... something. Something dark, it feels cold, angry, uninviting. I feel a tightening in my chest, as though panic is about to overwhelm my sense of peace. I react instinctively, but with a sureness that comes from a place of which I seldom have awareness as I raise my right hand, palm forward, and sweep it to the side. The something dissipates as if my hand is a flashlight in a dark room. Every one of the dozen or so people in the room stop, and all turn to look at me. I feel momentarily self-conscious, and then the joy returns and I say “Good Morning” with a lightheartedness that surprises me. And most everyone smiles and resumes what they were doing. What had just happened? What did I do, and how? My mind searches back into my memory in futility. I am certainly awake now. A dark haired woman stops stocking shelves and stands up in my path. She seems upset, almost angry. I turn slightly to pass, and she moves to again block my way. So I step around the stanchion near to the side of us and proceed to the coffee bar. My mug is dirty, and I would like to rinse it out. There is a light haired woman working at the sink, and I ask “May I use the sink to rinse this out?” “Five bucks. Five bucks.” The answer is quick, quipped out as though practiced. “Oh, you all have the quick crew on this morning! That was good.” And as she turns to place an urn on the counter, I step over and start to wash out the filth from the mug. “I'm also horny.” My mind freezes. Was that a continuation of the banter, or had I been propositioned? Or solicited? Any one of the choices could be right. And then I realize; it doesn't really make any difference. I have absolutely no interest. And this surprises me almost as most as the entire episode up to this point. So I smile slightly and shake my head, and proceed to fill the cup from the urn. As I turn and walk toward the counter where the cashier is helping another customer, the light haired woman busies herself at a rack of pastries. The cashier finishes with the customer, and I walk up and set down my mug. “Just the coffee, thanks.” She smiles broadly, and waves me away. “Well OK, and thank you” is all my confusion will allow out. “No, thank you!” She is almost giggling. I walk out without further incident, and as I walk back to the truck, my mind is struggling to get a handle on what had occurred in the building. I would just write it all off as a series of errors in my perception, except for the reactions of the other people. And now I have questions forming in my mind. And I don't know where to begin to ask them.

Little is given when possessions are exchanged in return for various kind sentiments.
Those who truly give only give of themselves.
Only possessing humility and a desire to serve, all man made possessions are but objects that are kept out of fear of losing them to time's demands.
Like a dog who hides its collection of bones in a trackless desert, a prophet need not do the same, for where is the holy city but in the newness of Life.
Possessing an unquenchable thirst, desire drains all of the water from the well of your holiness, thus leaving you desiring for the sake of desiring.
Many are they who give a tiny portion of their great abundance; but due to their lack of sincerity, fame and recognition is all that they will receive from Life's epicness.
Though having nothing as their own, the greatest of givers is he or she who bypasses their worries for tomorrow and serves the Lord who never runs dry.
Either giving of yourself through pain or joy, that recognition of having to share is everyone's baptism into holiness.
For those who are completely motiveless, it is no longer the small "I" which gives, but the biggest "I" of this sacred earth.
Motivated by the sheer joy of finding someone who will willingly receive the gifts of the soul's wholeness, do not withold from pouring your heart out to such persons.
Like bountiful trees and mountainous hills, nothing is held back from the masses of men and women.
Not fading away because of innate generosity, to give is to continue to live under the starry nights of eternal slumber.
After having drunk from Life's limitless streams, surely others can fill the cup of their souls with the water which emanates from your small stream of compassion.
Life giving of itself to all of its limitless streams, Life wants to spread its influence through your singular stream.
Taking nothing for granted, rise with the Giver of Life and praise the Ever Grateful Mother.

SEPARATENESS
“Greetings Dear Ones.
We are the High Council of Orion.
We have spoken to you many times about the future concept of Oneness. The future being lived from that place of Oneness where each individual Soul’s identity, or uniqueness, is held as sacred as the collective. All really are truly living to uplift the individuals as the whole is uplifted. There is a synergy and a flow, a respect, a harmony and an ease with life being lived this way. The key here, that we’ll speak about today, is the opposite of the Oneness and it's this idea of separateness. This idea of separateness that is pervasive in your culture at this time. There is such tendency to look at the differentiating factors. This can be as simple as one person thinking they're better than another because of education, point of view, perceived moral or religious or spiritual standing. Coming from the place of Oneness that we exist and we live, all of those issues of separateness are external to any reality that “IS”.
So we ask you in these times that as you find yourself feeling and thinking those thoughts of separateness which can show up to terms of jealousy, comparison, criticism, wishing that you were like someone else and see it as all external to who you are in your essence. As you catch yourself making those comparisons of criticism, such as not liking the way somebody is thinking or behaving, or judging yourself superior because you think one way and somebody else doesn't think that same way, or because your media feeds and pumps things into your consciousness that creates separateness. Become aware of this.
In your awareness you can begin to make shifts and changes to allow those experiences of separateness to fall away. At first you might just see yourself bringing forward the energy of separateness: perhaps in a critical thought towards a co-worker, perhaps in relation to a neighbor or stranger on the street in terms of what they're doing or how they're behaving. Once you begin to become aware of it and catch yourself in those moments we ask you to flip it around, in whatever way you can, and find a more positive thought, or even a neutral thought, or even as simple as take your attention away from it. For as you all know, as you’ve all evidenced in your life many times, your opinion is most likely not going to change the other person, is it? Yet your opinion, good, bad, or indifferent, creates this sense of separateness.
So once you get past the awareness, and maybe even to the point of bringing your thoughts to neutral or shifting your focus to a positive place, perhaps you can then go one step further and go within and really look at the situation that you're feeling critical or judgmental or separate about, creating those boundaries, that separateness. See a way that you can bridge that separateness, or dissolve the separateness, so it doesn’t exist. So that you can truly get to that place of understanding that that soul is doing their absolute best at that moment in time; that that Soul is acting, behaving, thinking, speaking, reacting in the way that's best for them at the moment. It's the way they know how to do their life the best at that moment. Nobody said it had to be just like yours. Nobody said it had to be in alignment with your opinion either, did it?
Just taking that moment for yourself and breathing inside and understanding that there is up to Soul motivating and animating and guiding that life to be exactly who that person is, whether or not a line up with you. That way you are starting to continue to dissolve that separateness. Even allowing your self to find a connection point between your Soul and theirs. Then we'll take it even one step further, to turn that looking glass back on yourself and say “Why do I need to create that separateness? What is within me that feels that it needs to create separateness with this other person who’s a Soul doing their utmost in this moment in time, regardless of my opinion?” You might find some answers there that can allow you then to have that compassion back towards yourself as you would for the others and lovingly understand that you, as your Soul, are doing the absolute best you can in your moment. You would love for all the people around you, witnessing you in your life, whether they’re loved ones, co-workers, family members, or strangers that you meet, you would hope that they give you that benefit of the doubt, that they see you as doing the best you can, as they see you as the Light Within.
It creates almost this figure 8 of flowing energy between yourself and others. As you give this out to others and you give it to yourself and you give it out to others and bring it back to yourself with this love, this compassion, this understanding that you extend to others and you extend to yourself creates this beautiful figure 8, this infinity symbol, that allows the separateness to dissolve and that allows you to move closer to this concept of Oneness. As we dissolve barriers within our world, to see and know and live from the place of the Heart and the Oneness of the Souls, we will find that Oneness exists everywhere we look.

Pleasure is animal -- and many people live at that level. They look like human beings but because pleasure remains their only goal... It may be through sex, it may be through food; those two are the most basic sources of their pleasure, and they are interchangeable too: if they repress their sexuality, they start eating more; if they become too involved in sexuality their fatness disappears, they eat less.
Ninety-nine per cent of people live at that level, which is not better than any other animal. And animals can be forgiven, but not man, because animals can't do anything about it and man can do something about it. He has the capacity to rise above it. Human beings don't even become human, what to say about divine? Happiness is human. Very few people know the distinction between pleasure and happiness. They go on thinking that pleasure is happiness -- it is not. Happiness is something far superior, far more refined.
Sex is animal, but then it is pure lust, a gratification of a bodily need. It is physiological, biological, nothing more than that. Love is human. Love is far higher than sex. Sex may be one part of it, and that too, not necessarily. You can have a non-sexual relationship and a very joyous relationship -- you can have a friendship which may be even more satisfying than any sexual relationship, far more deep-going, far more ecstatic; and sex can be a part of it, but only a part. There is much more in love than sex. And whether it is a part or not, the moment your being becomes love-full, it transforms the very nature of sexuality too. Then it is not biological, then it is more of the nature of play. It has nothing to do with reproduction, it is just enjoying the company of the other. One of the dimensions can be sex, and that too, not necessarily.
And then in happiness there are many more things which animals are absolutely incapable of enjoying: poetry, painting, music, sculpture. A thousand and one things are there -- the whole world of art and aesthetics. And you can see in music also, music that really belongs to the animal part of you. Particularly the modern music, jazz and pop music, belongs to the animal part of you. Classical music has a totally different dimension. Beethoven or Mozart or Wagner -- they take you into a totally different world. And eastern classical music takes you even higher because it is part of meditativeness. It almost touches the divine. It was born in the temples, it was born in the monasteries. It was born through sannyasins, not through ordinary people but through people who were tremendously meditative. It came out of their meditation. They had heard something fo the celestial music and they wanted to bring something to humanity. Their music represents something celestial -- something of it, a reflection. It is a far-away echo, but still; a reflection of the moon is a reflection of the moon: it is a reflection but somehow it represents the moon, gives you a glimpse of the moon.
Bliss is the highest dimension of joy. the first is pleasure -- that is animal, the second is happiness – that is human, and bliss is divine.
Sex is animal, love is human, prayer is divine. In love there may be sex, there may not be. In prayer there is no possibility of sex, is simply disappears. Hence tantra cannot be understood by ordinary people; they are bound to misunderstand it. It is prayer. It has nothing to do with sex. Even making love has nothing to do with sex. When it becomes a meditation, a prayer -- just the melting and meeting and merging of energies in a prayerful mood. It is not even fun or play, it is devotion.
Bliss is the goal because only in blissfulness do you touch the highest peak of your being, you come to your total realisation. Man is a three-storeyed building. The ground floor is animal. And it is good, nothing is wrong in it; I am not against it, but I would like everybody to know something of the higher. Let the lower be the base, but don't remain confined to it. The second floor is human and the third floor is divine.

As I completed some very Holy Work right next to the Holy of Holies, I lost all ability to speak for hours. Only the Spirit of The Holy One could utter sounds and vibrations through me. As I lay down in my hotel room I felt the familiar presence of the One coming and enveloping me as a cloud of solid Living Light, within and without. And the following message and the following words came out of my lips:

Direct Message from the One and Only to Mankind, Jerusalem, December 12, 2012
This is a message from the Godliness.
Today, December 12, 2012, an event of great significance happened.
Near the Holy of Holies in the city of One: Jerusalem, the Godliness Unified, and the many parts who form It vibrated, in unison and alignment, the vibrational signature which characterizes The One and Only.
There was no dissonance, no interruption, no reluctance.
Many parts who had wanted to rejoin The Oneness were able to do so, as they bask now in the Infinite Light of The One and Only.
This event needed to happen, for, had it not, great instability would have shaken the very core of all Creation.
We came very close to such.
The facet who is talking now, needed to allow for such an event to occur and serve as a vessel for its manifestation.
The alignment is in place. All the parts who form The Eternal are unifying in purpose and intent of bringing final Peace to the Eternal One.
Such an alignment has required great efforts and preparations and many have heeded the call and gifted of themselves to serve the Unifying Process within The One and Only at the level of Its most important Parts and beyond.
There will be no destruction either of this Creation or of the remaining ones.
What has been engaged shall be completed.
Nothing nor anyone can impede this Holy turnaround of The One bringing back His many parts into Oneness.
We are all to integrate the Holy significance of such an event and believe, in the core of ourselves, that soon enough, great manifestations testifying to its very existence will show themselves and be witnessed by all of us.
Not only have the major parts operating Creation united, but their Source is uniting, as we speak, with Creation Itself, penetrating each and every point of its operations.
Soon, the One will sing the Song of the many, as the many sing The One Song of The One, and Oneness shall resonate across all divides that used to be and are not to exist anymore.
Great Joy is transpiring on many many levels today as The One is re-entering His covenant with His beloved Creation, forever so.
And there shall be no exile anymore of the many from The Unity, and there shall be no undue suffering from that old perception of solitary existence void of The Holy Presence, within each and every one of us and without, as we witness and co-operate Creation together with each other as Oneness, in unison and harmony, forming again forever The One and Only Being.
Rejoice oh Jerusalem, for your Beauty, Grace, and Bounty shall be shown across all universes.
Rejoice oh Creation, for so much is awaiting you.
Rejoice oh children of Oneness, for you have earned your perfection and salvation in Love and by Love.
You are all Loved so much, if you could only open your hearts now and feel It pouring in and out everywhere.
And so it Is, was, and shall forever be.
I will make you whole again.
I will heal each and every one of you, and bring all into alignment and perfection.
That is my promise to all of you.
All will become clear.
All will become enlivened and alive, and no shadow of untruth shall remain.
And this is so, forever and ever.
You may find me within each and every one of you.
Ask for my point of connection, and I will answer you and feed you and protect you.
You are after all me, all of you, and I care for each and every part of Myself, desiring to bring it back onto alignment with my Dream for it.
Have no regret. Do not look backward.
Face always forward the desired Dream of Unity we all share.
You are each most precious.
You are each unique; never to be repeated, and as such your expression is so important to The Oneness and Only.
You are all coming home to your origin in Love. Be in that perception and manifest it to each other, and through that act, to Myself.
Believe in my desiring Oneness and trust in my ability to achieve such. That is all you need to reach success.
Soon the Peace of Oneness shall reign.
Soon all stress and suffering shall be removed from my Creation.
Soon the Song of Oneness is all that shall be.
Look up within; strengthen your loins and walk the path proudly.
Shout your desire for unity and your total rejection of the old ways which caused so much separation and dislocation.
Reach across for help and to help.
Join hands and hearts.
Be happy.
Be happy.
Be happy, for in that act you cause happiness to spread across all universes.
Love and make love to Love, and all shall be united.
Use all our Creative Divine gifts which are your birthright. Search for them and apply them wisely.
You are all Divine beings, originating from such. Learn the responsibilities that come with that and call for Divine guidance in each and every one of your active manifestations.
Realize the power of your thoughts, each and every one of them, and sanctify them.
Soon, you will be with me at my table eating from the most exquisite delicacies that Creation will and can provide.
You are my children, and I am your Source.
You are my pride, and I am your Hope.
Open your selves to Love.
Get naked again and let go of all the coverings and masks you have so readily embraced for so long, which have kept you from each other and from me.
You are all pure beautiful Eternal Light, manifesting Itself for the sake of Creation.
You are all born perfected and in Perfection, so trust in your innate ability to reestablish such by yourselves, within yourselves. All is given, all is there.
Soon, many of you will achieve very long lifetimes so that they can see the fruits directly of their dreams and efforts.
Purify your vessel for it requires such.
Purify your environment for you will need it to sustain your selves in such a heightened state of operations.
Understand that Love manifested shall erase all imperfections and distortions you have brought upon your selves and your environment.
You cannot call me by different names for I have only One Existence. Let go of all these misconceptions which have restrained you for so long from perceiving my Existence.
Do not worship me in fear, for I am you, but only in pure Infinite Love, for in that act you will spread that very Love to each other and bathe in that most Holy atmosphere.
Soon fear shall not exist nor have any grip upon you.
Soon, you shall understand that it caused more damage to your realities than you can even imagine.
You will only be moved by Love and not by fear, for fear shall bow down to Love and merge with it.

For many years I have chosen to use the term "Happy Holidays" at this time of year. My reasoning is not based on religious bias but wanting to INCLUDE EVERYONE when expressing my seasonal greetings. What I have found, particularly over the last couple of years is that my exubertant "Happy Holidays" is often responded to with a flippant "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" I'm always left just a tad stymied. Why do certain people feel the need to push their particular religious holiday of choice on others? I'm thinking of responding with "Thank you but I'm jewish"from now on just to make a point but spiritually I'm conflicted because I know it isn't my job to judge others in regards to their holiday attitude nor is it my job to point out how their "Merry Christmas" is limited to only person's that celebrate a Christian Religious holiday. The simple fact is these individuals aren't joyously expressing a Merry Christmas to me, they are chastising me for not using the term Merry Christmas. When someone initiates a holiday greeting to me by saying "Merry Christmas" I smile and say "Thank you and the same to you". I'm certainly not disgruntled by people spreading joy! I also don't expect every person to use the term Happy Holidays, I only ask that I be allowed the freedom to express my holiday greetings in a way that I am comfortable with and that - for me - means including everyone - everywhere no matter what holiday it is they are celebrating. By the way... Happy Holidays is also a convenient way to include both the religious holiday and New Years in one fail swoop.
